what about other games? I'm curious now.
For example a random game that you keep only for it's trading cards.
oh so no way to get another round of "x card drops remaining", already knew about booster packs and trading / using market to get them.
Thought there was a way to get more card drops from 1 non-free2play game.
If you've gained all the card drops; you're not going to get any more.
You will then be eligible for booster packs.
I played csgo and i didnt get any card at all
And it says
No card drop romaining
Free 2 Play games require you to spend money (buy prime or in game purchases like Operations) in order to receive drops.
Once you've gotten all of you're card drops there are three ways to get more cards: Trading, Buying, and Booster packs.
-Trading. If you want to get cards without paying more money, you can trade with your friends on Steam. If you go to Profile>Badges>(badge you want more cards for), and scroll down you'll find a list of cards you don't have. Some of them will even have an icon of your friends under them. If you select the rotating arrows you can start a trade offer with that friend for the card, giving whatever want in return (even nothing). You can use this method with friends who also own the same game to get more cards (or get cards for games you don't have).
-Buying. The simplest and easiest way is to buy them straight from the Steam marketplace. Going to the badge in question and scrolling down you'll find at the top of the list of missing cards there's a button that says, "Buy remaining cards on the Market" By clicking this it'll automatically make a Cart of the missing cards from you're set at the cheapest available price, at that moment. You can then purchase them (usually for a few cents) and craft the badge.
-Booster Packs. A Booster Pack is a pack of three cards you can randomly be assigned. To get one of these packs all you have to do is have already gotten all the card drops the game has given you, and sign in to Steam at least once a week. That's it. That's all you need to do. The only issue with this method is that it's super rare to get one. Most people don't get any, but it's a worthwhile effort to just sign in once a week, y'know, to keep the hopes up.
Anyway, that's how to get more cards with a purchased game on the Steam Store. Free games aren't something I've looked into, nor something I'm likely to get too deep in.
