help with x360ce

i have a third party controller (too poor for an xbox controller) and i use x360ce for my games. Most of the games i play like borderlands and just cause 2 work but games like bioshock don't. I checked x360ce and found out that the xbox 360 preset did not work. The red light is shown. But when i switch to any other preset, it works. I think that bioshock infinite does not work because i can not use the xbox preset. Can anyone help me?
