Mouse scrolling on steam too fast
Hi!

I was just wondering if mouse scrilling is god awfull for everyone or is it just me? With one nudge of mouse scroll, any page jumps more than i can fit on my screen and this normally scrolls down 3 rows on any other program. This has bothered me for a really long time. :steamsalty:

I have the same problem.

In windows you can modify how many lines you scroll when you use your mouse wheel. But when I use different values there, it seems like Steam is scrolling the much more than the number you put.

If you can, try changing to a different mouse or reinstall drivers

I tried a different computer and mouse but had the same problem.

If you set in windows to scroll 4 lines, steam scrolls some amount. If you set windows to scroll 8 lines, steam scrolls much more than double the previous amount.

Same problem here, it tries to scroll one entire screen down every tick of the wheel. This only happens in the Steam App and I can't find an option to do anything about it in the settings.
EDIT: the games library has a MUCH better scroll speed than anywhere else.

Same problem here. Noticed it recently. In Windows my mouse has always been set to scroll 10 lines, but Steam seems to multiply that value.

I just tried an experiment. First I set the value in Windows and scroll down on a Steam page, then set it back to 1 and scroll back up to the top of the page counting the number of clicks. Turns out that:
1=1 (1 line set in Windows = 1 line scrolled in Steam)
2=4
3=9
5=25 !!!

You can see where I'm going with this. The value in steam is SQUARED!!!
VOLVO pls fix!

Mine persists even through a clean install of Windows 10. (I was on 8.1 previously.)

I have had this for years, but today is the day I finally want a solution. Where can I file a bug report? Is there a bug report of this already?:steamsad:

@ Protector one Add your info to this report : http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta/discussions/0/350540780275612038/
If you'ld be so kind, the DEVs would like a report to be formatted as shown in the example sticky
How to report a bug (don't forget to mention whether you're using the "stable" client or the beta release.
