non steam game not showing to friends
exactly what the title says. I put overwatch as a non steam game but it doesn't show that I'm playing it on my profile it just puts me a blue online.

Because launching Overwatch from the executable requires Battle.net GUI to be opened, which causes Steam Client to refuse further running of the application.

Same problem with Mirrors Edge: Catalyst, it requires Origin to be opened so it forces access to origin instead of the wanted application.

You could always add the Battle.net launcher as a non-Steam game, and edit the title to Overwatch. That's probably how everyone else is doing it to have Overwatch displayed as a non-Steam game.

I did that but it only shows for some seconds then it disapears? any ideia what might be causing it.

Technically you can run any program in the background as a non-Steam game with its title tweaked. I don't have Battle.net, so I'm not sure how their overlay works with conjunction to other programs. I'm able to do this with the Origin launcher, so I thought it might be the same idea.
