Steam Region questions
I had some question about steam regions. Because I don't see any official or semi official list of information in steam support page about regions. which is disappointing to say the least.

1a. How do I see which part of the world in which steam region?

1b. I would also like to see which region pays what amount of money for specific games. so I can compare regions.

1c. I want to see which steam regions can purchase region-unlocked games, as far as i know only US and Canada are enjoying such feature?

1d. If I buy a region-unlocked game will it be working in any steam regions (except for the region/country where the game is banned) ?

1e. How can I be certain that my games are region-unlocked? There is no information in my library.

2. How to request Gaben Newell to open a regional pricing for my country? There are thousands of steam users in my country but we have to purchase game at US-international price which is unfair because we are a 3rd world country. Our neighboring country has steam region and can get new 60$ titles at 20$ physical disk and steam.

Also, when answering this question write- 'official' or 'rumor', this might sound confusing but all the information I read about steam regions are non-official so nobody can actually guarantee they are right.

1c. Wrong, most countries have access to region-unlocked games. It's just selected countries in Asia, East Europe and South America that are affected.

From what I understand:

1a. When you purchase a region locked game, it will give you a warning before purchasing it. Games can basically be locked to any country if the dev/pub desires to do so.

1b. You can use a site like steamdb.info or Enhanced Steam(ES is a must have for Steam users http://www.enhancedsteam.com/ ), to view prices for various regions/countries. For example, here is MGSV:TPP https://steamdb.info/app/287700/

1c. As all regional pricing is set by devs/pubs it can vary game to game, but typically it is regions that charge around the USD price or above, but there is not set rule.

1d. It depends on how the region lock is set up. Some are just region restricted purchases. Others have region restricted install, while a few others have region restricted play.

1e. I don;t think you can easily check games you already own, but if you bought it on Steam you can go through the purchase process (without completing it) to see if it gives you a region restriction warning. Some games may appear in your library with regions added to the title like RU(Russian federation), ROW (rest of the world), etc...
