mic issues, can someone help.

okay so i have a blue yeti, it's worked in the past with steam. now with it hooked in and set as my mic active, it won't even work on the test mic screen. i press the test mic button and speak into the mic and the bars don't move. i know the problem could be many things, please throw out ideas of things i can try to help to get it to work.

Have you tried these:

- Make sure your microphone is selected as your 'default' microphone on your Windows system.
- Update your Microphone's software.
- Restart your computer/Steam (available updates can be downloaded)
- Tested the microphone anywhere else, to check if it's not the microphone which just simply broke down.

okay, so i tested it on my computer. it won't even make the bars move when i talk into it on my home computer. i checked everything else it said to check, it is not muted, it is set as my active mic.

Then the issue is probably client-sided. Have you updated your microphone Software?
