How can I test out a game before buying it?
For example, I want to test a game to see if my PC can run it. Is it possible?

You can request a refund if purchased <2 weeks AND played <2 hours.

There are some exceptions. What game?

EDIT: The storepage typically has the minimum pc requirements.

EDIT2: Go to THAT game dicussion forum with your pc specs and ask.

You can purchase the game and then refund it. Refund requirements are that you can't have own the game for 2 week and you can not have more than 2 hours

Unless that game has a demo, you can't.
You can ask though. Which game are you interested in and what are your system specs?

The refund system is not there to demo games, if Valve deems you abuse the refund system, they may revoke your access to that feature.

Youtube has plenty of videos for the more popular games and even some of the less popular ones on a wide variety of hardware. Easy as googling <hardware> + <gamename>.

Technically it should run, but your CPU is pretty much on the lowest minimum so expect performance problems.

They tell you less then 2 hours... but the game bugged at 7 hrs and crashed to the point it wouldn't restart. Had to wait months for the DEV to fix it.. thats what you call BS.. loss on that game. Have never played it again..

45 mins... on the same day... and maybe if someone is nice you might get you money back..
