Rar File says it's for the steam client bootstrapper

I was downloading a RAR file (Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead) and when I try to open it, it has the steam logo on it and it opens my steam library, despite not being there. I just wanna play the game, and I don't know how. Please help.

RAR is a archiver format that's commonly used with pirated stuff; contrary to ZIP it has no builtin-support in Windows.

If it opens the Steam client, then someone has associated RAR files with your Steam client, for whatever reason.

Get a program that can read RAR files; it will probably associate itself with *.rar files when you install it, and everything will work as expected.
