Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 No Sound, Please Help!

So, I got the game, downloaded it.

Sure, the bat logo had sound on it, but that was it. The moment the book came on screen the sound was completely gone.

I've looked up other discussions on this and I'm baffled.

Window mode doesn't work, yes I've restarted the game after I windowed it. Disabling Steam Overlay didn't work.

Did anyone get a fix for this?

How about you post on the discussion hub of the game you're talking about.

check games redist folder if they use a thirdpart audio codec. some games do this and it should be installed doing install but it seen before they fail at this.

( other game i have notice did this was steam baldurs gate 1 enhanced version. )
and no i dont have that game cant help unless this is a misconfiguration but then you wwill have other games with no sound.

most games has that folder some just dump it in main folder directX,

but if you cant find it, you have to ask games own forum ( hub ) i cant help you better then i dont have the game.

Yeah, no longer as Steam now stores those in a central location. For quite a few months already.
