my C: drive is full, how to install game on network drive?
plenty of space on my Lan but Steam can only install on my C-drive?

You don't have any other partitions? Also, filling a drive completely means everything takes longer.

Just open file explorer. On the top tooltip there is a big button named "Map Network Drive". I think you can figure it out from there.

Let's hope you have a fast network or you will reduce loading times below HDD speed. Making them worse of course.

Oh yea that is totally true. I once experimented with gaming from a network drive just to see if I could do it. But one of my switches was rated at 100 Mbps which means disk speeds of 12.5 megabytes/s max. And the client PC was connected via wifi. 2.4 ghz wifi. Yeah... Loading into the games I tested took ages. However game behavior in general was fine once loading was done.

Do your research first before asking questions. This can easily be found searching on internet browser. But I do recommend that you either clear some space on your c drive or buy a new disk drive because farther the disk is connected, longer it takes to do I/O operations.

Sorry I missed all your kind replies, I moved my photo library to a network storage so I could run the game as is normal. Cheers Ernie
