The last few weeks this above message has been effecting all of my Steam searches, and I have to hit the cog to view unfiltered results.

My preferences have not changed, they are set to show everything, hide nothing, ignore nothing and censor nothing. I even went through and rechecked the boxes off and on to be sure.

Every time I search new releases for example it will say 7000+ games have been excluded and I can view the search with unfiltered results.


I have only noticed this issue very recently, is anyone else having a similar problem.

this is the exact message I get even though everything is set correctly.

As you posted in the other thread, you probably noticed that language filters can be a rather important factor. I only have English language and the blank search filters out 13000+ games. Granted, I have Adult Only disabled.

But if I add Simplified Chinese as language to the search filters, the excluded games drop to 10000+ games.

So it's probably related to language filters.

make other steam account with no filter no preference, im not sure steam can be with your ignore to tags to preference, or steam need a on/off with them. ( ask steam suggestion maybe )

same as a firewall you can block the world and then complain over it, this dont add up.

do understand i see things diffrently and you cant have both on sametime without a counter ways to switch the option on/off.

I have similar problem. The search feature does not work as expected.

Even when I click on the cog to view unfiltered results, it still shows the filtered results and NOT the all (including unfiltered content) the results on the same page.

Is it a bug or an intended behaviour (makes no sense as long as they put the cog icon there to let us view unfiltered results though)...?

Note: It is much strange that the same issue happens EVEN when I'm logged out and make the search as guest visitor, it hides some results without any filter applied, very strange.

Update: It was about auto-filtering based on predefined language setting that was hidden on right part of the search page on mobile web browser. Damn. But as it was automatically narrowing the search results based on language, it still doesn't explain why clicking on "view unfiltered search results" green button did NOT work. Weird.

Have the same issue, I often can't even find the games I am looking for on my steamdeck unless I click "show me unfiltered results", I just want all games to be shown to me.
