Nintendo Switch Pro Controller rumble stopped working.

I've been using my Pro controller with Steam for a while and everything was working perfectly fine. One day the rumble stopped working and the home button light which is usually on while the controller is connected to steam is no longer on, everything else is working fine and the rumble works when using the controller with my switch. I can't find anything online and I've updated the controller and my pc. I've disconnected and reconnected the controller countless times. Anyone had a similar problem or knows anything else I could try?

I don't own a Switch Pro Controller but tried with an 8BitDo Pro2 in Switch mode and...no rumble.

I had the same Problem, but it now works again, the only thing i did was going into the steam support, while having the controller connected. Idk if that was just coincidence or if that is how you fix it.

Actually the 8BitDo Pro 2 in Switch mode does rumble but just over BT - I'm pretty sure I had tried BT but I think only with Identify (and hadn't figured out the below) and not in a game.

This is my experience over BT:
Enabling Switch Config Support (after the controller is connected) doesn't give a functioning Identify. It required making a change to Use Nintendo Button Layout setting, or closing and re-opening Controller Settings, or dis/re-connecting controller. In other words, when Switch Config Support is already enabled prior to connecting the controller or prior to opening Controller Settings, Identify functions.
Rumble worked in the game as normal, no problem using the global or per-game Steam Input setting.

Had no success wired, not with Identify nor with games.
