Doubt about G2Play Steam Gift

Hi, guys, I've a doubt about G2Play Steam Gift: I've just bought a game on that site, so they've sent to me an e-mail with the activation link and when i click on it, the page says that it's a gift from *casual name*. As the instruction says, after the activation Steam will notificate me that I have a new gift. This is the first time I use the Steam Gift from G2Play and I don't want to commit a mistake and activate the game on my account (this is a gift for a friend), because the instruction are not very clear to me. Can someone explain me more about that?

G2play is a grey market reseller. If you don't want to deal with confusing activation methods, possibly region locked games, or even games that will be revoked for fraud, purchase them instead from steam or an authorized reseller.
