I misread the question -- My mistake, but I've just tested on my end and if you follow the steps above, it should open with those same preferences as it did on my end.

I've updated my original post.
Steam has two visual modes (other than Big Picture), a compact view and an expanded view. Large Mode is an extended view which shows you extra details amongst a whole bunch of other things, while small mode is compact and only shows you your library items.

Does this keep occurring because my steam crashes alot? I think I have to many games and it just crashes :P Usually if I leave it on overnight I wake up and its crashed...
Thanks I wonder if its due to my game library size? maybe something to do with the constant checking of updates? Im not sure but just wanted let the community know :D
