Living in the USA. Wallet converted to YEN. Now Useless.
I submitted a question to Support a week ago.
Nobody has answered my support ticket.
My problem is as follows:
I live in the USA.
I'd been back living in the USA for almost a month when Steam decided to switch my Wallet (and Marketplace) over to Yen.
My Store, and method of payment there, is in US dollars.
So I currently cannot use my wallet to buy games because it is in a currency I do not use for a country I do not live in.
So again, I do not live in Japan.
I was not living in Japan when this was switched this on me.
I will not be going back to Japan.
I cannot use my Wallet to buy games.
I submitted a ticket over a week ago and have not so much as gotten an acknowledgment.
Please fix this.

Hey Jack Smog,

A response from Steam Support can at times take up to or exceed a two week period depending on their current workload. Rest assured you will recieve a response and they should be able to assist you with your issue without any problems once they do. To expedite the process make sure to include any information that you may deem useful prior to them replying to you (Screenshots etc), otherwise a proper solution may take longer.

Have a nice day.
They will fix it. May take a couple weeks. If you had been in Japan in the past Steam may have still registered your account as being there.

Pretty much the same as the Europeans moving between Germany and the UK. Just have to wait on support to change your accounts location.
This is a user support forum. No one here can make changes to your account. You will have to wait for support to reply, it may take several more days depending on their current ticket load. Try to be patient.
Thanks for the replies. I thought I was being patient by waiting a week before saying anything. I guess I can wait another week.

Unfortunately Steam support is frequently overloaded in this manner due to loads of people getting their accounts compromised, sending tickets about getting items back, bad trades, random questions, begging to be VAC unbanned, and even things which do not even concern Steam in any way. This makes it time consuming for them to wade through and answer every single ticket to get to the ones which support can actually do something about like the account hijacks and the technical/payment issues such as you have.
