Getting New Games But Game Count Not Increasing

Hello everyone,

I recently bought 5 new games but the game count on my profile did not increase. It's not a life and death issue but you know having something bugged is kinda annoying.

Anyone having the same issue?

I created a ticket on Steam Support too few days ago but you know it takes ages until you get your first answer. And it usually tells nothing.

I'm really wondering what's going on!

Well it's been updating just immediately for the last 6 years for me. Now it's like 3 days and not updated yet? And also just got some new games for my gf too and hers updated immadiately too. So I'm sure it's not like that.

Yes, all games are added to my account and yes it should be 530.

Just got Metro Last Light today for example, and it is still not increased.

It's not a sky is falling kinda issue though like I said, but disturbing to see something is bugged like that, and who knows what kinda bug will follow that.

Well the only thing I can come up with, is some of your F2P games could have been removed without your knowledge and decreased your game count.

Well i don't really have any f2p games apart from dota 2.

And also shouldn't it still increase right after I redeem Metro Last Light today? But it's stuck at 525 and haven't increased after my last 5 purhcases.

Anyways, thanks for the suggestions man.

And the waiting rages on... Been almost 3 days and no answer from Steam Support. And apparently no one else is having that problem apart from me.

I also bought a game, it registered on my account page, but didn't increase my game count. Maybe steam is glitching right now. Still waiting for their fix.

Define “same issue”. Are you adding free games? Paid games? Pre order games?

Paid games from steam. does not increment total and has not for many weeks it seems

This post was back in 2014 so have you found the answer to why the count didn't go up? because I also notice mine didn't go up also.

This post was back in 2014 so have you found the answer to why the count didn't go up? because I also notice mine didn't go up also.

I suggest you create your own thread instead of necroing a 5 year old thread next time. Free games don't add to your game count. And if a paid game has "profile features limited" it will not count either.

There are many games that don't count towards the badge.

1. Free2Play games don't count.

2. Games removed by Valve don't count.

3. There are also games that are in the "Learning" phase...
