PORTAL 2 with controller not working
I was trying to play PORTAL 2 (single player) with my XBOX ONE controller, and I could navigate the menus and everything. But when I actually entered the gameplay, I could not move around or look or anything. Thats all.

Hope you can help!

Thanks. :)

The driver for that thing is still in an early stage. Sit back, drink tea and wait for Microsoft to solve the problem.

No it's official now.

You need to enable the controller fully in the drop-down console in-game.

"Official" as in "you plug it in and it will install the driver itself"?

Well given the Xbone Controller is newer than any OS; I don't see how it would be plug&play off the bat. But again MS has an official driver download now > http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/controller-pc-compatibility

That's not it. The final state is what I described earlier. Until the driver reached this state, I wouldn't consider it final.

Yeah the first time I plugged in my controller it said that it was installing the driver thing or whatever.
Also, how does one open this "...drop-down console in-game..." and then what would I write into it?

Enable the console in the game settings and configure the console key in the keys settings.
The command would be exec 360controller

...I'm using an xbox one controller, so would the command be any different, or would that command work for xbox one and xbox 360 controllers?

...Yeah I'm just installing this now.

I would imagine it would work for both, since it's the same xinput layout.
