Can't type in my password into steam launcher

Hey, as I wanted to open my steam today I was able to write in my username but everytime I try to type in a password no letters appear.
I also can't copy and paste my password into the section.
I deinstalled and reinstalled steam but the problem is still there.
Does anyone has the same problem or a solution? (sorry if this problem is already listed somewhere, haven't found it yet)

A temporary solution is to create a shortcut to steam.
Right click the shortcut and go to the "Shortcut" tab.

In the target box add:

-login USER PASSWORD

So you should have something like:

E:\Steam\Steam.exe -login Tekraken MYPASSWORD

USER and PASSWORD are (hopefully) obviously your user name and password.

Disclaimer:

Of course this means that anyone who uses that shortcut will be logged into your account so make sure access to your PC is limited to yourself.

What do you mean by didnt work? Didnt log you in or didnt let you type in the box?

Did you just add the bit -login etc, your steam is probably in a different place to mine.
