Alienware 14

I have had my Alienware 14 for about 3 weeks. I have only downloaded games and have only went on youtube. At first i got 60 FPS high settings on heroes and generals now i get 30 to 40. What could be causing this?

It could be using integrated graphics if it has switchable GPUs like NVIDIA Optimus. Drivers can lower or raise fps sometimes. If the problem started after updating to the newest then go back to the older driver. Check that the temps are fine.

Never even downloaded updated drivers for the integrated gpu. Also my temps are the same as they were when i got it

I didnt say that. Im a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who didnt want to build a computer so i got this. The customer support is actually very nice and supportive

It's hard to say exactly what the problem is. My guess is it was using a dedicated NVIDIA or AMD GPU and now is using only integrated graphics for some reason. A lot of laptop users have this issue. Look in NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Catalyst and make sure it's set to use the high performance GPU for games. Set everything to high performance mode. If all else fails you could always do a factory restore to get it working the way it was when you first got it. That's a bit of an extreme fix. I never personally dealt with this. You can find more info on the net about NVIDIA Optimus and AMD Switchable Graphics. It can also help to update your drivers since you said you never did that.

Turned out my Physx Processor was set to CPU instead of the GT750M so i changed that and my Intel HD Graphics 4600 was on version 9. something and now its on 15. something so i guess it hasnt been updated in ever. Thanks for helping me out!
