Steam Overlay Not Working On Mac?

It's been like this for the past 2 days. Steam updated and now my overlay won't come up... shift+tab doesn't work, every time I start a game I get a pop-up telling me to enable it in my settings which i did... and i double check it every time I get the pop-up and it's still enabled. Is anyone else having this problem and if so how many of you figured out how to fix it?

I have this problem as well but haven't figured out a solution yet. Guess we'll have to deal with it until the next patch.

I got my overlays to work again by unchecking, exiting settings then reopening settings and re-checking Steam in System Preferences -> Security and Privacy -> Privacy -> Accessibility. It worked for me and I hope it works for you.

Except that you have to do this every single time you start STEAM so it's not really a fix--I've already been doing this since day one of the update to no avail.

It's still working for mine after closing/restarting steam :/

Yeah, for my this issue is still ongoing where I can resolve it with unchecking/removing and re-adding steam to the allowed accesibility list, but this becomes really redundant and a pain in the butt everytime you exit and have to relaunch steam - or else the overlay does not work despite the permission remaining the same.

It's been a few weeks that this has been occurring and with it being significantly more inconvenient than the countless bugs I have seen addressed in recent updates am getting annoyed by their lack of attention to this issue.

If you are going to have software that is provided for Mac use, then have it's basic functionality working and prepared to fix it when something goes wrong. At this time, to my knowledge, noone has heard anything and the time frame to get this fixed is growing to an unreasonably lengthy and inexcusable period of time. With every update I look to see if it's addressed and watch for it to possibly have been fixed (even if by accident in an update) yet it remains the same after weeks where it is likely not a difficult fix to implement, just low on their list of priorities.

Get on it Steam.... Please.
