Any way to prevent someone from joining your game?
So starting off this person used to be a good friend of mine, then he suddenly up and deleted people from his friends list including me. I tried speaking to him but he wouldnt talk to me or anyone. Later on he starts joing me and my friends in game and we tried to ask him what happened, of he got hacked or something, but he comes back with the creepiest responses.

So knowing the guy had probably lost his marbles and kept following us into a lot of games we all blocked him thinking it'll work, but he still keeps coming back! Ive deleted almost all contact with this creep and he still joins our games! In all honesty Im out of ideas and having this creep ruining our games its getting really annoying!

In all honesty me and my friends have had enough, we've tried talking to this guy, blocking all communications and he still finds us...
So Im asking, is there any way I can prevent this guy from ever joining my games? Any way to hide the "join game" feature from people who arent on my friends list?
Thanks.

UPDATE

Ok so heres a quick update, me and my friend were playing Borderlands 2, friends ONLY and somehow he joins the game! No clue how! We blocked him, put our accounts on friends only, we have done everything possible to stop this guy from joining and he somehow overrides it all and gets in!

Is there some kind of third party program that allows people to join people they cant usually join? Is it a hack? I mean I dont know what to possibly do anymore! Im close to just reporting him and getting him banned from Steam all together... This is really really getting annoying!

Does anyone know what to do?

Change your private settings to friends only

Edit: I can already see that your account is set to private, if he still joins your games, that means some of your other friends have a open profile and can use them to join your games

Yeah, and I asked my friends about that too, they are set to friends only so I dont know how this creep finds me or my friends.
We've all blocked him too.
I do have a steam group too, could he be joining me though that? if so I could ban him and see what happens.

As he/she said there are privacy setting in games, like in Dota2 if you enable those only your friends can see or join you.

Well I could give offline mode a try, but I'd have to tell some of the people Im currntly chatting with.

But this is mainly in games like TF2, and Im not entirely sure there are privacy settings in Team fortress 2. And I dont wanna stop playing TF2 because of this creep.

The problem is if a person is finding you through your other friends that they know about, then u might all need to block that person and/or make your profiles private or friends only. With the troll being blocked, then you and your friends can still share via having profiles set to Friends only and then that blocked person can't see and such profiles would show as private to such person.

But for temp purposes, you and your fellow players could just do Offline Mode in Friends List. If you still need game/team communication u can use Steam Voice, or perhaps use an app like TeamSpeak.

We have the communications all sorted with Skype.

Well he only joins if me and my team play, we have all blocked him, left all groups he's a part of and set our profiles to friends only, yet he still finds us. Could be the group I created, he isnt a part of it but I could ban him from it.
But its stupid how no matter what we do to block him he comes back again and its really ruining the experience for me and my team when we play Team fortress 2.

You mean ban him from the group or from Steam in general? If you mean server Im no server admin or anything, I just jump to different servers and when the creep follows he'll jump with us.

Add your freinds, to your alt borderlands steam account (new account), and set your profiles to "freinds only", so only the alts added, can see other alts. Get your freinds to do the same thing.

Setup a free ventrillo server, and send the server "deets" in the client only. Password protect the chatroom.

Make sure the servers are password protected (if applicable).

Hopefully this should help.

Check view tab in steam, players, to see lately played with.
Look what account he used to get into your game.
Block and remove each one he uses.
Visit the profile to make sure.

Thats the thing, he has only one account and Ive blocked it, set my profile to frends only and everything.
I'll look over his friends to make sure Im not friends with any of his alt accounts or anything, hell I'll block him from my steam group too if that helps in any way.

so you too have some lowlife following you everywhere and no matter what you do (blocked him, set profile and all that) he still joins?
I think Steam needs to get onto issues like these...

You mean report him? Im not a server owner or anything, Im just a guy who wants to play my games in peace without some creep joining my game and ruining my gaming experience.

I really dont want to start making alternate accounts, besides, its not just Borderlands 2, its other games like TF2.
