Big Picture issues on mac osx after new update

Hi Guys,
I got a 2013 imac on 10.9.4 & after having the latest steam update i m having issues with the "Big Picture" mode, for some reason it works only sometime & noramlly just goes to the grey background & doesnt load "big picture" anyoneelse havign this issue?

Just updated my Steam on my mac (10.9.5), and have simmilar issues, but in my case, it seems to always show the gray background. Do you still have issues with it?

Same here, running Mavericks on a mid-2010 Mac Mini. Tried the latest AND beta build, same results as described by the OP.

When I click Steam in the dock the first time, it looks as if the screen moves to a different space to the left. Although tabbing through all spaces doesn't help.

I always have to Alt-Tab to the Finder, click Steam again, then it goes black and then Alt-Tab once more and click Steam to finally get into the working Big Picture mode. Sidenote - after the initial click you allready can hear the Big Picture loading screen theme.

Would love to see a statement about this bug by the Devs.

Yesterday I've found another topic on this, on Steam forums, that suggested in a simmilar case, to click on the icon on the dock when in big picture mode, to make it appear. After I've found it, I quickly subscribe but did not post to it, so I can quickly pull it out. Unfortunately, I can't see my subscriptions.

BTW.: I tried that, and it seems to work like that. If I recall it correctly, once it appears correctly, it will work for that session, so the topic I found&lost stated.
