LEGO Batman key not working

I got a Lego Batman Steam key from a Lego set that I got yesterday. I have been trying to activate the key for 2 days and it hasn't been working. I looked up and tried everything I read, but it still doesn't work. It is 8/12/2014 it expires at 12/21/2014. I would very much appreciate the help and answers. Thank you!

LEGO Batman

I got a LEGO Batman Steam key from one of the sets and I've been trying to get the key working but it isn't working I've looked for as much info as I could find and tried them but it still isn't working. The expiration date is 12/21/2014 and as of today its 8/12/2014. PLEASE HELP it would be very appreciated!

Are you sure it's a Steam Key? Sometimes the LEGO games have special Unlock codes that are used to unlock things in the games themselves.

Read the instructions.
Does it say its a steam key?

What set did you buy that came with a free copy of the Steam game?
Are you absolutely sure it's not just an unlock code to use Inside the game, that is more common in LEGO games...

If it's not working on the "ADD A GAME..." activation system then it is NOT a Steam Game Key.

Type the key exactly as shown. Look for difficult letters

Reboot:It just says your key was invalid try replacing O with Q thing like that
OneMoment:I got it from a lego superheroes batman set at a store
TrithRR:I went to the website on the card and it said to go to Steam and redeem it.

Trinth: I got a Batman and Bane set can't really describe it and the card doesn't say if its addon it says LEGO Batman the game here http://lego.com/batmangame
Muppet: Its very hard to tell two of the same letters which look like a O 0 Q so yeah...

Look closely, and try to find a corresponding clue on the card.
How they write the O. Or if theres a 0.

I've never actually seen a key like the last one. Almost always set like the first two formats. Three groups of five, or five groups of five.
