Steam charged me money for adding Credit card?
As i fixed my credit card 4 times (I added this card a month ago). Steam charged me about 1$ each time as well (so in total 4$) . So does it mean every time u add a credit card, steam will charge u 1$ as a fee even if that card is the same card? (Because i fixed some information in my card so I delete and add again, thus my bank called me there're 4 charges recently).

Personally haven't had to pay for adding my bankcard on Steam (haven't removed it in a while though)

I know PSN & Humble Bundle do this for example though.

the first time i added my credit card it charge me 3 times of 1$, maybe one as a fee and two for small amounts of authorization. I messed up 3 failing times and it locked my market 7 days. No refund as well.

So you confirm it's a new thing on Steam?

Because it hasn't happened before to me at least.

I see many want to use this method to check if your card has money. But if it's for verification, it should refund me after i verify it. I see no refund in my steam wallet as well as my bank account.

Otherwise you're just repeating what I just said.

It only does it when you add the card. If its been a while since you've added yours and you've not removed it, then you wouldn't have a charge on your account and you probably wouldn't know how far back to go in your bank statement to see if there was one.

I know for a fact it didn't exist when I first entered my card details in 2010. :) Because I was rather paranoid back then to see the exact amounts go in. PSN was my first experience that did the 1€ extra take.

Well, I guess glad to know something's changed.

Considering money doesn't transfer instantly and is held on hold for a few days, it doesn't work that way. They'll return it in a few days.

When I first time added my credit card, it charge me 1$ and two small amounts for authorizations. I failed trying to fill those two amounts (because my currency is different) 3 times and it locked my market 7 days. Until today no refund guys.

I personally don't like the holding or pre-auth of accounts money. I remember using a prepaid MasterCard with $25 at amazon and used it twice, once at amazon and once at pokerstars.com while the amazon held or pre-authorized the account, pokerstars.com deposited the money and I was left with a failed amazon purchase. NOTE: to the wiser, spending all your money in one day can lead to problems.
