Every time you increase your Steam level, you get 5 more friends list slots.

Do you speak to all 270 people on your "friend" list? Perhaps you could delete those you don't interact with any longer?

Free games don't usually yield cards unless you purchase items in-game. To see if you are eligible for card drops in any of your games, click here.

If you haven't already, your friends list limit increases by 50 if you connect your Steam account to Facebook.

vegeta66, an easy way to get XP without spending more money is to complete some tasks from the Community badge. http://steamcommunity.com/my/badges/2 (ty frazer)

Completing 22 of 26 Steam Community tasks will net you the first tier (100 XP)

Wait you have 1 game you play and you have 270 friends? What game is this or do you just add random people you see? Becuase I'm sure you don't message even close to a hundread of them
