Arma 3 launcher doesn´t recognize steam to be online

I have downloaded some mods for Arma 3 and in order for those to work I´m supposed to launch Arma 3 by right-click and then select the launcher. Now when I have done that a window appears with two tabs, add-ons and mods I believe it was.
When I click on the mod tab it says Steam is not online, despite that is is, I am in fact downloading another game so I am definately online.
Now, it this a common issue or is it something wrong with my Steam/game?

Make sure that Steam Client, Arma3 and whatever "launcher" app u use are set to "Run As Admin"

ok I´ll try that, but the launcher isn´t an app, it´s an intergral part of Arma 3.
