Odd Garry's Mod glitch that causes my monitor to "disconnect"
I play on one PERP server, which I used to run it completely fine before, as in this did not happen before a few weeks ago. Anyways, about 5 minutes to 4 hours into playing, my monitor will randomly turn off showing a "no signal" message, as if the DVI wire was unplugged. However, it is plugged in as it was just working a second ago before that. I then have to restart my pc.

This does not happen on any other server, however it happens when I try to play L.A. Noire.

I have tried updating my Graphics Card drivers, reinstalling the game, and disabling all addons.

Specs:

OS: Windows 7
CPU: AMD FX 4300 @ 3.8ghz
GPU: AMD XFX Radeon 7770
Motherboard: MSI Z1-7641
PSU: Antec 520w

Sounds like a GPU issue. Have you measured the temps to make sure it's not overheating? I recommend MSI Afterburner to measure the temps.

Try lowering in the game resoulution and refresh rates your monitor support.

Monitor brand./ model and default resolution and refresh rate setting? Any drivers?

Vide0 drivers - Do a clean driver install can somtimes fix issues.

Bad monitor. Try a spare monitor if you have access to one. If it still shuts off its the vidoe card, drivers, Windows, or game settings problem.

Also sounds like could be a problem with AMD drivers, and Windows Power Managment.
Corrupt Windows Power Management.

ya make sure those fans are moving air.

The fans are moving and functioning. Also, all my drivers are up to date. I'm sure it can't be my monitor because I've played on this server for around two years with this same monitor perfectly.

So what were the temperatures when playing for a bit?

When I was not playing, It was around 32C, hen I began it almost doubled and then crashed after around 3 minutes. I opened my case and then joined again and the temperature was 40C, but crashed almost immedately after joining.
I am also having this issue. Seems to happen only with gmod, and it's not an overheat. Did you ever find a solution?
