All of my games are capped at 30 fps on my laptop?
My desktop runs most games at 144 fps, but my laptop, a msi dominator gt70 895, caps all of my games at 30 no matter what I do. This is getting extremely annoying, so what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on?

Do you have V-Sync set to always on via the graphics card? That sounds like to most likely scenario.

I don't, and even then it should set it to 60 fps, not 30.

Maybe the laptop graphics driver caps the games to reduce power usage and heat.

Nope, have that disabled as well. I'm on hold with MSI tech support now. Hopefully they can help.

GeForce Experience also caps framerate when on battery, check to see if that's on.

make sure you installed the latest geforce drivers and try being plugged in cuz mine always caps when unplugged. Ontop of this, go into your nvidea control panel and set your global settings and physx to use you gpu and not cpu

Same happens here too. I think it locks at 30 because its not charging. When I put my laptop back into charging it goes back to normal.

That would be the power management settings on your laptop taking over.

i dont know if its gonna help yours but it helps mine, first you go to geforce experience, click on the setting and click on the 'games' one, there should be battery boost option on the right that you adjust, but i just turn it off bcs my monitor is 60hz anyway so the maximum fps is 60. i know geforce exp was the problem bcs before i installed it and logged in im just playing alright no problem but after i logged in there was fps limit
