Can't buy anything from the CS:GO market !
I've had my account since December 2009 & since then I've made numerous purchases on steam. I'm not a big spender on steam but I have spent both money & time on steam.

I was trying to buy CS:GO skins from the market but I couldn't click on the Buy Now button due to me not having bought anything in the past 30 days. Anyway, I turned off Steam Guard (I've never turned this off since I've used Steam) just to see if that was causing problems but still the same problem. So then I turned Steam Guard back on & now on the market I'm getting this msg: To buy and sell items in the Community Market, you must have a non-limited account that has been protected by Steam Guard for at least 15 days.

WTF ?!?!?!?!?!?!?! That's truly my question right now ! WTF ?!?!?!?! Will this be fixed if I buy something from the store right now ? Will I then be able to purchase something from the CS:GO market ? Plz help as this is gut wrenching right now.... WHY DOES STEAM DO THIS ? If it's not one thing then it's another !

Here you can find all things that'll trigger Market Restrictions:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1047-EDFM-2932&l=english

So, now that you turned off Steam Guard (there is never a need to do that!) you'll need to wait 15 Days to use the Market.
As you couldn't buy anything before that either, i guess, as you already said, you didn't bought anything recently (purchase not older than 1 year, but at least 30 days ago).

So you would need to buy something (charging your steam wallet is enough for that) and wait until the restriction is gone (which should be the case after said 30 days, which includes the 15 days restriction from turning off steam guard. As far as i know, they are not added up to a total of 45 days).

But I had recharged my wallet but still I wasn't able to buy anything from market. That's the reason I turned off Steam Guard in the first place :(

Read and understand:

Your account must have a successful purchase older than thirty days, but not older than a year in order to access the Marketplace.

It's not just about a purchase, this purchase must have been in a specific timeframe.

Well, I just made a purchase through CS:GO. So now I'll have to wait till after 15 days to buy anything from the market right ?

no read this

The purchase of wallet funds, games, DLCs and software meet this requirement. Retail CD key activations and gift purchases do not satisfy this requirement.

so i think buying keys and stuff through cs go wont activate the timer again.

I bought the game about 45 days ago (i know this is an old thread) and i had the 30 day market place cool down which i did wait for and everything was fine, then i bought keys and i got another 30 day market place cool down! but ive already had a successful purchase so why do i get another one?? i hope this does not happen everytime you buy keys;(
