Steam taking forever to load from background (friends list included)

For some reason right now steam is painfully slow to open up from the background, meaning that if I close the steam window, but the process is still running, it can easily take 20+ seconds to open my steam library or friends list, sometimes even longer.

I'm on Windows 7, not running any active antivirus, and steam is exempt in windows firewall. This is a recent thing too, usually steam opens literally instantly from background.

How much ram is being used, check your task manager. How many programs are running in the background, check by your clock. How much system ram is installed. How much cpu is being used check the load percent in task manager.

Disable all uneeded programs running in the back ground and disable all uneeded services from control panel.

I only got the internet icon and the speaker icon running in the back ground and my ram usage is only 18 percent used and my cpu usage is 0 percent. So check everything and make sure nothing is using resources that you are unaware of.
