Garry's Mod Screen is black after closing game or tabbing out
Hey guys,
I am playing Gmod very often and every time I play it and I tabb out of the game my deskop and everything is completly black. Sounds and everything is still working I just can't see anything. When I tabb back into the game the game works fine and no problem. This wouldn't be a problem the only problem is, that even after I closed the game my screen is black and I can't change anything about it. The only way to get the black screen away is by restarting the Pc via the physical restart button.

Please help me !
I already tried reinstalling steam, downloading the game completly new, remove all my subscribed item from the workshop and I updated my video card driver

My Spec are a Radeon 7850 and an Intel i5

Same Problem, same fix attempts, also like to add that I have windows 10 and a radeon 7870, and an AMD fx-6300 6 core @ 3.51gHz. I assume this is either a windows problem, maybe a firewall? read that somewhere, or its a problem with gmod and the 7800 series radeon GPUs. Looking into it further, Ill post back if i find anything.

FIXED: If you have windows 10 and this problem, try running the program in compatability mode by going to you garry's mod directory (Steam>steamapps>common>garrysmod) then right click on the application "hl2" and click properites, then combatibility tab at the top, then check the box labeled "Run this program in comaptibility mode for: " then select either windows 8 or 7 and click apply at the bottom. Worked for me.

My problem was, that my monitor was at 59Hz instead of 60Hz and I changed it and now its working fine for me
