disable steam overlay pop up on game start?

every time i start a game this stupid pop up shows up telling me to press shift tab, it even crashes some games, any way to disable this.

Go on Steam, up on the left corner you will see Steam on a little menu, click that then Settings. Go on In-Game and uncheck "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game". Reply if it worked.

Maybe you should fix the issue causing the crash because the overlay did not cause it.

Well, i see no way to fix it if you don't disable the overlay..
If you keep it on, the pop-up will be there.

Unhelpful idiots. Why is there no option to disable ONLY this pop-up? Been using steam since 2007, I think I know how to access it by now! I don't need to be constantly told over and over to the point it's causing my game (Conqueror's Blade) to crash (in conjunction with the windows 10 overlay pop up called 'Ansel.')

I find it annoying. It pop's up over a key interface element in a game I'm playing at the moment, delays loading the game and getting started. The fact you have to disable the whole overlay to do this is un-great UX.
