Most games are not working properly, error code: 0xc0000005

Hey there, recently I've had a lot of trouble getting my games working, a ton of games are not working (ex. csgo, overwatch, minecraft and many more).

Most games do not boot up when clicking the executable, it simply displays the error: "the application is unable to start correctly 0xc0000005". After that it shuts down. I also found out that booting up the game using the cmd command: "java -jar %appdata%\.minecraft\launcher.jar" works fine but using the executable doesnt work.

Here is some stuff I tried so far:
- Re-installing the game
- Updating video drivers
- Updating windows
- Run AVG Registry cleaner (AVG Tuneup)
- Run AVG Virus Scan
- Run Spybot - Search and destroy (antivirus)
- Run CCleaner
- Booting game from command line (worked but not a permanent fix)

So, what have you done so far in attempt to solve the issue? Surely you've googled that error code, right?

I have.

I'd give AVG the boot personally,

AVG Anti-virus 

 We recommend that applications listed in bold with a (  ) symbol are fully uninstalled from your system if disabling them does not resolve the issue

Could it be AVG? I've had it for years now and never had the issue. I haven't updated it either so it shouldn't be related to AVG. I'll try out the startup programs first and see what happens

I already found the cause, disabling the programs made it work so i just started booting up my programs and then trying over and over again if it was working. I found out that the program causing it is Razer Synapse (the program I use for my new RGB keyboard). I am going to look online to see if i can find a way to make it work properly.

Thanks for the help with disabling the startup programs :D. I probably wouldn't've found it myself.

Glad to hear it!

Although I'm kinda using Razer Synapse without issues on Windows 10 AE. Kind of a must when I'm using the DeathAdder Chroma. Weird.

EDIT: 2017 so I don't necro this thread: Turns out I got this error much later down the road. It seemed it was because I had RzStats enabled. You can disable that under [Razer Synapse -> Stats]

Yeah, I have windows 7 myself with a Razer Deathstalker Chroma. The problems started 2 days ago (the same day I installed my keyboard), I already had a suspicion that it was the keyboard causing it all but everybody said that that'd be impossible. I'm probably going to contact razer about this since they have pretty fast customer support, if they don't have a fix i'll have to return the keyboard sadly enough.
