To get an idea, open the RUN on windows. (Start + R)

Type: steam://open/console


Now how do you clear it?

You clear it by exiting Steam and restarting it.

Or just close Steam and restart it.

Just know that by typing in "quit" you're closing the whole client anyway, and "exit" seems to only apply to SteamCMD.
