Can't Install Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant 6.5
I downloaded the file titled "wllogin_64," but double clicking on it only results in a flash of a window popping up saying something along the lines of "please wait... etc." and "gathering acquired information."

Some people were saying to run it in compatability mode for win7. it's not an exe. though, it's an msi. and i don't seem to be able to choose a compatability mode :(

I was able to install games for windows live, but when i try to log in, it freezes. I figured the live id sign in assistant would fix that??

Help please lol Day 2 of this and i'm going insane!! :(

The Games for Windows live client hasn't worked properly since last year, no one is even able to download their games. MS say they're looking into it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Is the WL sign-in assistant not part of the GFWL install?

Edit: Seems I'm having the same freezing issue as you even with the sign-in assistant installed >_<

yuh, same thing here :P

i was encouraged by the fact that, in multiple recent reviews of Lost Planet 2, there seems to be many people able to have gfwl working to the point that online coop is good to go! i can't even sign in lol

I just checked for you, even with the client not working, Lost Planet 2 let me log it, took my GFWL key and started downloading my XBL profile no problem. I think the game just needs the Xlive.dll from the client.

Nope I used my main XBL profile, had it for like 10 years since the 360 came out. Still use it now on the Xbone :trazz:

www.microsoft.com is where you'd find support for this issue.

these are Steam user support forums.
