Problem: NBA 2K17

I bought NBA 2k17 last weak (pre-download). At the end of the download, Steam restarted to re-download the gam, but it was already on my pc (as a matter of fact I found it on the specific folder). If I try to start the game Steam tells me to wait until NBA 2k17 is ready, like it is in download (as a matter of fact Steam is re-downloading it, but it is already on my pc, because after more than a day of download, it has finished).
I've already restarted Windows and nothing changed.

What can I do?

The game should show up as "NBA 2K17 - Pre-load completed; unreleased"

It's not playable until it's released.

The game isnt officially out yet. It will be out September 20th. That is why you cannot play it...Hence, the pre-download

I bought the game last week to have the possibility to play in the early tip-off, thanks to the pre-order. So the game should be playable for me since yesterday.

But the problem is that the game is in download, again, for Steam. But I finish the download, and as a matter of fact I can find it on my pc.

You find the game's files under Steam\steamapps\common ?

Yes. It is in that folder.

Try to make a copy of the NBA 2K17 -folder and place the copy elsewhere (just so if the next part happens to overwrite your files.)

Exit Steam, move the appmanifest_385760.acf out of your steamapps\ -folder.

Restart Steam, and the game should show up as uninstalled. Try to install in the same folder and see if Steam detects the existing files.

Do you solved this problem. I have the same issue. This fckn game downloading second time
