CD-key proof of ownership?
here's the story
my phone number got expired and i have no longer access to it,also i live in a third world country so asking to revive my phone number is impossible

then i send a ticket support that i want to remove my phone number authenticator because i no longer access to that phone number and then the admin ask me proof of ownership

ive send him all various information especially the paypal with transaction of steam

but guess what?! he/she said i didnt specify more and its the CD-key

what the F is CD-key? i didnt bought any cd-game of steam i directly download to the library

even everyone said paypal alone is worth proof of ownership already

its like steam wants me to buy their game again and create another account again, hell no!

can someone help me about this CD-key thing?
i never buy a CD or DVD game from steam so i have no idea about what they are saying about cd-key to proof ownership

If you buy the game on Steam, Steam automatically pops-up a CD Key or recovery key. They clearly state to write this key down as it is very important.

They probably need proof of a purchase from farther back. If you're only sending them recent transaction info, then they might not feel that is sufficient for proving that you own the account. It sounds like you registered cd keys with Steam in the past, and that's what they want.

You should have a CD key of one of your previous purchases around. You can always read this thread about CD Keys, as it covers most imporant questions: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4950-EKAM-2644&l=english

You do not have to buy a new game.

EDIT: You should be able to right click the game in your Steam library and press 'View CD Key.' Note: this only works if it's a game purchased on Steam and NOT on any type of third party website.

Hope I helped you out there. It can take a while for Steam Support to answer though.

Good luck, let me know the outcome!
