How to deal memelords/spammers or just annoying people in general?

So,ever since I've joined meet your match heres my round in a nutshell.

1 I'm dieing a lot cause I'm SUCK at this game.
2 Let the medic that's healing me know I'm a bad medic buddy. (via chat)
3 Find out there's just an annoying Lenny spammer in the chat/meme lord in the enemy team.

I know there's an option to mute but whenever I see people like this, I just want to give them a punch of justice (or SHUT-UP)

Giving them a reaction of any kind is only going to encourage them. Make liberal use of the mute function, and focus on the game rather than the chat, where possible. I do realize it's Team Fortress 2, so some teamwork is required (especially in MvM. oops, misread which game mode you were playing.)
