Buying games on Steam Store vs. at the retailers - is there a difference?
I plan to buy The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legendary Edition. The currenty price at Steam Store is 36 euros, while many stores offer a steam code (I mean trusted, reputable sites, not places like {LINK USUNIĘTY} for anywhere between 20-30 euros. Is there any difference if I buy it as a steam code in a store (from my country, region lock won't be a problem), as opposed to buying the game in the Steam Store for almost twice as much?

Not really.

The game uses Steamworks, so it will activate through Steam all the same.

even if the game is the physical version you stil need steam and download some updates adtional to the installed from the disc,some games even only includes the steam instaler on the disc the only valuable thing is the activation code itself on the case of digital stores is the same the code still activates on steam,you can try to wait to steam sales skirim sometimes is low as $5.
