"Content Servers Unreachable" (FIXED) (GONE BULLGUARD) (GONE ANTIVIRUS)
Im in the UK, London, and I cannot update any of my games, they are all filtered into the "Update required, not qeued" section in my manage downloads. Whenever I click them to update I get the message that the "Content Servers are Unreachable". I use bullguard and I cant find anything to do with steam in my quarenteen and ive done a full system scan (NO errors), I can still play my up to date games but I cant update any of the others. Anyone know what I should do? Its only started today so should I just wait?

I thought mine was downloading okay but it only validated one game, then stopped being able to download. What exactly are people turning off/leaving on to download properly?

Turning off everything under Antivirus but keeping everything else on works for me!

Doesn't work for me, and to be honest I'm kind of unwilling to make my PC vulnerable by leaving it off for too long.

Turning off vulnerabilities worked fine. Installed bullguard again and turned this off.

Read above - you only need to disable "Vunerabilities".

I've sent Bullguard multiple log files which they need to escalate and will email me. I'll post the results/findings/solution here once they do.

Meanwhile just disable "Vunerabilities".

I have disabled Vulnerabilties and it's still not working for me. Guess I'll have to wait and look for another solution.

Same was happening for me really annoying, have BullGuard also. Turning Antivirus off and Vulnerabiltity scanner off seems to have worked, downloading stuff now. Put AV back on after it's done downloading, always BullGuard messing stuff up.

Me too i tried reenabling antivirus and just disabling vulnerabilities but it doesnt work. Only disabling antivirus works for me.

I have spoken with Bullguard and the guy was extremely rude. If someone else has any luck with them please post a solution. I advised him that there was a lot of people having this problem (and linked him to this thread) to which he replied

"just because you are saying it's true doesn't mean it's true, we only go by facts not what people say"

I am also in the UK

To be fair i could say this to 90% of my customers at work too lol.

But maybe you should have pointed him to this steam discussion where we are all having the same/similar problems :P

Turns out I do have to disable both Vulnerabilities and Antivirus for it to work. Guess I'll update everything then reenable. Not exactly the best solution.

I did. Thats why he said that comment!

I closed Bullguard and my downloads work, so I am sorry but it is 100% bullguard for me!

Well that sucks. Must have been to do with the latest Bullguard update because its been fine before today with me.

Thanks to everyone in this forum, I was combing everywhere to see if anyone had this issue, I use Bullguard and turned most things off now finally updating. Thanks for the advise.

I have found it was the anti virus only and nothing else, their online support helping me, albeit being a different person than before!

Anyone else who has this issue get onto their support so they can run a few file checks, it may help make it easier to fix permanently.

'Content Servers Unreachable'
Yesterday, I was playing csgo with some friends and the game was working perfectly fine but today I got on csgo and I try to get into a game, it then auto disconnects me and I get given Pure server: file [GAME]/pak01_000.vpk does not match the server's file, I verify game cache and it notices that 2 files are missing but when I tried to reinstall the files steam would queue up the game but never actually install the missing files, after a while I decide to reinstall csgo however it now says 'Content Servers Unreachable' I have tried changing my download region and have also checked if my firewall is blocking anything to do with steam (which it is not) and have gotten no results. It seems to be an issue with steam its self because I get the same error message when trying to download any other game, I have tried to reinstall steam, this has not solved the issue either.
