Steam wants my ID or Driver License information

I recently took the tax interview to post my greenlit game to steam, and the next day I got an email requesting more info, and that the quickest method to be to send it via Email at the address listed in the picture provided. Is the legitimate? What exactly are they requesting? Would a simple picture of my driver's license be good enough?

I viewed this thread. I was getting a lot of different responses with some saying "it's a scam" to other ones saying that "it's perfectly safe".

Oh, hm, have you contacted steam support to get more information on it?

I've tried contacting steam support multiple times about different subjects, but never really get a helpful or straight out answer. That's why I came to the forums.

Did you enter accurate and valid info on the tax page?

@Matt Yes, the correct information was entered. It was double checked and everything. This happened about a month ago as well when I tried it the first time, but they said that the SSN was incorrect. I corrected everything when I got the chance to redo the interview, but it is still asking me for additional info.
