Can't connect to any website using the Steam Client.
The last days, I can't connect to ANY website using the Steam Client and the Steam In-Game Overlay. However i am able to acces the Steam Website with a normal browser, so it can't be a problem with Steam servers.

The only things I am able to acces are:
  • Library
  • Friends
  • Friend Chat

Any solution?

Delete the web cache in Steam's settings dialog.

Try exiting Steam entirely, hold down [Windows] and [R] -keys

Press [Enter]

Open up the Steam -folder within.
Remove the htmlcache -folder

Hold down [Windows] and [R] -keys again
steam://flushconfig
Press [Enter]

Retry.


A few times the latter has worked while the above hasn't; while generally the above is enough.

Hello, sorry for not posting for so much time...

It still doesn't work. I go in a website (INgame or in steam client) I will try to connect to a website but after 1-2 seconds it say error in the URL bar...

Should you highlight the "black background" with your mouse, would it show you any specific error code?

Alright i click copy URL while im in the client and its the URL that is shown in the in game sites
http://error/

I click "view source" and this is what is shown: <html><head></head><body></body></html>

The unfortunate thing is that i can't access anything with in steam and i have to go to my browser (Chrome) to do everything. (Only library and friends/friend chat is accessible)

Not exactly what I asked though but,

Any idea what could've changed those few days ago?

Tried clearing your DNS? Checked this list?
