Ubisoft keeps asking me for CD key on the steam deck.
Hello!
(Tldr: ubisoft keeps asking me for a key to launch the game despite already having logged into the correct ubisoft account.)

I have just finished downloading assassins creed black flag on my steam deck. I have previously played this game (with the same issue. Can't remember how I fixed it) on my pc with no issues. I already went through the login process and everything seemed to be working. When I actually went to launch the game it is now asking me to input the code to active the game. (on an email that has never even been associated with my steam deck mind you. I still have access to this email as well.) I have no clue how to fix this and I'm not very Linux savvy so I figured I'd come here. Many thanks!

Kinda sounds like you have more than one Ubisoft account. Check which one you're logged in to on your PC.

Any game that is in your inventory appears on SteamDeck. Account connectivity is done automatically on SteamDeck. You can also listen to music on YouTube by accessing it from your PC. You can see everything that appears on your monitor on SteamDeck.

So connecting the Ubisoft account with the PC ... will automatically connect to the game on SteamDeck

I have 2 accounts total and the one that is supposed to be auto signed in is on my pc. The other is not even linked to my steam which is why i'm so confused how it even knows about it. I even logged into the correct account on my steam deck as well. I quit the game as i wasnt able launch it from the launcher and it then asked me for a key for the account that has never touched my steam deck.

I only have one and when I enter the key of the game I try to play, it says that "This game is already in you library" A-DUH, then let me play ffs... this is infuriating.
