Witcher 3 - Latest Cloud Saves PNG vs SAV

Hello all. I am missing about a months worth of saves after doing a fresh install for Steam. Steam cloud has always been enabled for this game and I do also switch between 2 PCs in the house to play on. For the last few months, I've been playing solely on the main machine that I did not need to do the fresh install on. When I went to log into this machine, the main one, I saw it said the last time I played was Oct 5th which is correct. I booted up the game, went to manually load a saved game and noticed it only shows saves from Sept. 9th and prior. Tried re-syncing to the cloud and verifying the game files, but still the same results. Logged into the other PC and same thing. Went into my gamesaves folder and I see the "saves" from Oct 5th, but they are showing as a screenshot of where I saved in the game, and not the game save itself is to be found. The "latest" SAV file is showing Sept. 9th. Same goes for when I go into the remote cloud saves within Steam, same information.

I am at a lost and almost don't want to finish out the game if i can't get the latest save back, that is a lot of lost time, especially for Witcher. Does anyone know if there is anyway to find these lost save files?
