How to login to protondb using new app?

I thought I'd share my experiences of a game on protondb. Apparently you have to login using your steam login details (why!!??) but it's asking for my steam authenticator code. The new app doesn't seem to give out a code anymore. How do you login?

Open the Steam Mobile Authenticator app, go to the security tab and push the big blue button at the bottom of the scanner.

Yeah, I clicked on that and then a box popped up saying don’t share or type it into any website.

I decided no one wants to read my experiences anyway!

For future reference for online safety visit Steam itself as in go to steam site itself, login, now can visit 3rd party sites. If it has Steam login, it should show a single green login button, no username, or password to enter, because you're already login, that how you know it a safe site. Phishing sites won't show single green login button, asking for username, and password to login, that how you know it a scam site.
