Virus found Win32/Vitru, \Steam\Steam.exe
Hey guys, my avg antivirus has recently found a virus that comes up as "";"Virus found Win32/Vitru, e:\Steam\Steam.exe (7912)";"Secured"
once the threat is removed, Steam closes so I have to repopen it. Once I reopen Steam and then see what avg picks up it finds the exact same thing. I have also ran the AVG scan right after removing the threat with steam closed. Please help! :l

trash out AVG - it's most awful "antivirus"
dl an bootable linux live cd with antivirus like kaspersky, dr.web, avira, bitdefender and scan pc (to be sure that the system does not have real viruses)

It had only just happened, I have had AVG for a longgg time, so its quite random. I also ran MalwareBytes and that had picked up nothing, super confused why this would only happen now, was there a recent update to steam or something ? thanks for the reply btw
Malwarebytes is not an anti-virus program, of course it didn't find anything.

It's about nearly 100% a false positive.

MalwareBytes Anti Malware is used a scanner, not antivirus, I scanned with that and nothing had shown up

Good point actually. Viri are a type of malware. Frankly, NOT concidering a virus malware is a horrible idea.
