"server dns address could not be found" and "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN" error fix.

i recently starte dhaving issues with this error and couldnt connet to steam or anything on the internet. i followed a lot of guides on how to fix the issue but none of them really worked but they did lead me to the right erea to fix my issue, i'll include the other fixes i followed as well.

1. Go to network and internet connections area in the control panel.
2. Right click the internet connection you are currently connected to and select properties.
3. Select "Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and go to properties.
4. select "use the following dns server addresses" and input the following "8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4"
5. now click on the "advanced" option and go to the "DNS" tab.
6. now make sure there arent any other ip addresses ahead of the addresses we just put in.

in my particular case there was another ip address ahead of the "8.8.8.8" and "8.8.4.4". when i removed this the isue was finally fixed. hope this helps some people!
