Windows Security Alert when opening a Steam game
Not sure if someone already made a thread about this but anywhoo..
For example, I opened up Garry's Mod. Before the game loaded up, the Windows Security Alert pop up shows up, asking to access/allow this app through firewall. First, I exited the game, then tried..

(services.msc>Security Center>General Tab>Startup Type: Disabled)

After trying that solution, I started up the game, yet the pop up showed up again. Is there no solution to this?

allow it access or add the firewall exception manually.

if you want to use multiplayer the game needs access through the firewall so it can connect to the internet.
i dont know how the game handles mod downloads but id imagine it needs access for that too.

firewall pop up is normal for multiplayer/online games,it should only ask once though, then it is added to the exceptions list.
