Damn, it sucks

something is really broken
Yeahhhhhhhh it's definitely not on the users end...
I just spent the last hour wiping Google Chrome and re-setting everything up again, cleaned the program from all saved settings to try eliminate this on my end and still this issue persists...
Also if I go to the Cookie Settings Page via the link, it makes sure to tell me with an ERROR pop-up that my changes have not been saved. Has been that way the past few days.
... Oh... and it is the same both in the Steam client and in my Browser window... on both computers.
1) what Windows OS are your using??????
if all of your are using Windows 11, then kindly take note of this
a) Windows 11 is not as stable as Windows 10 yet.
chances are high that it is related to the Windows 11 your are using
i'm using Windows 10, and i don't even have the "cookies" problem that your are having.
I have bad news for you. It's not limited to W11, and it was happening even in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ steam client. So yeah.
Apart from steam stopped asking for cookies, I would very much liked it stopped ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ asking me to log in every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time I try to buy something on the store! Why the ♥♥♥♥ does it work fine in the client but not the web?!
Thank for the FIX !
It'll be back once the sale peaks again.
This cookie problem as well as random other glitches related to profiles such as achievements or friends temporarily vanishing, has been around for a long time and happens every time Steam's backbone is under too much pressure and the poor hamsters they have running the wheels are having another cardiac arrest.
Each time there's a big sale that causes influx of traffic, and each time there is Tuesday maintenance where a bunch of the servers are taken out of the active pool and what remains just has to handle the additional brunt of traffic, it's the same song and dance.
Valve should presumably only have to up their hardware and it'd be fixed.
But yeah; small company, limited budget, please understand...
