Is there any way to stop people from leaving a negative review for Victoria 3?

This game is getting treated very unfairly by review bombing trolls. Is there any way Steam could actually step up as a responsible company and ban the people who are leaving negative reviews just because they're trolls?

Normally I would agree but this is clearly a form of hate speech and should be regulated accordingly.

Of course no. Reviews are meant to be fully independent.

Being a fanboy of the game and not agreeing with others that dislike it does not make them trolls.

The review section is NOT your personal echo chamber to convince you that a game is perfect and you DIDN'T waste your money on a flawed product. If you need others to kill your doubts, especially by force, that says a lot about how bad it really is.

If they are flagged as Off Topic reviews and Valve sees an exponential amount of them, Valve will deal with it and mark them as Off Topic.

There is no guarantee it will be seen as Off Topic by Valve.

I really don't see that happening. I just looked through some of the negative reviews and all i see are valid complaints people are allowed to have. Bugs, performance issue, not liking it ect. I did not see some mass amount of "troll" reviews like the OP claims.

I had a look at the reviews, some of them have ten plus hours into the game. There just seems to be mixed reviews.

A quick read of the most helpful reviews in the past day as they are displayed on the game's store page reveals the common theme is that the engine needs a lot more work. Where are these trolls?

They paid for the game, they have a right to make their opinion known.
Victoria 3 is a interesting title but it has a lot of problems at the moment, gameplay wise and from a technical standpoint.
The reviews on Steam are not the only ones calling those problems out, i seen a few Youtube reviews already with the same complains. And from reputable channels.

Not every critic is "trolling", sometimes a game just has problems and buyers are allowed to complain about it.
